Warmer rooms, lower bills — insulation that works from the outside in.
If your home was built before the 1920s it probably has solid walls, and up to a third of its heat escapes straight through them. External wall insulation wraps your home in an insulating layer and a fresh weatherproof finish — no internal disruption, no lost floor space. We’re a PAS 2030 and TrustMark-registered installer.

of your home’s heat is lost through uninsulated solid walls
What is external wall insulation?
External wall insulation (EWI) is an insulating board fixed to the outside of your walls, then covered with a tough, breathable render or cladding. It’s the standard solution for solid-wall homes — properties with no cavity to fill — and it’s fitted entirely from outside, so your rooms stay exactly as they are while the work happens. Done properly to PAS 2030, it cuts heat loss, stops draughts and damp, and gives your home a clean new exterior in one job.
Comfort, lower bills, a better-looking home.
Up to a third less heat loss
Solid walls leak more heat than any other part of an uninsulated home. EWI tackles the biggest single source.
No internal disruption
Fitted from outside. No ripping out skirting, no lost room space, no redecorating inside.
A warmer, drier home
Fewer cold spots and less surface condensation, so rooms feel comfortable sooner and stay that way.
A fresh exterior
A clean, modern render finish that weatherproofs and lifts the look of the whole property.
A stronger EPC
Solid-wall insulation is one of the highest-impact measures for moving your energy rating up.

Trusted by homeowners.
“Our Victorian semi was always cold and the bills were brutal. The external insulation made an immediate difference — the front rooms hold their heat now and the new render looks fantastic. The team handled the grant paperwork too, which took all the stress out of it.”

FAQ
Common questions, straight answers.
Will it change how my house looks?
Yes — for the better. EWI is finished in a render or cladding of your choice, giving a clean, uniform exterior. We agree the finish with you before we start.
Do I need planning permission?
Usually not for a standard home, but it can apply to listed buildings or conservation areas. We check this as part of the survey.
How long does it take?
Most homes are a few days to around two weeks depending on size and finish — we give you a clear timeline up front.
Will it cause damp?
Done correctly, the opposite — a properly designed, breathable system reduces condensation. Poor design causes damp, which is why we install strictly to PAS 2035.
Can I get it funded?
Possibly fully. Eligibility depends on your household and property — we check it free before you commit to anything.
